Accommodation at Swafield Hall

For your stay at Swafield Hall you can choose between two self-catering apartments: East Wing or South Wing, each with dedicated kitchen, bathroom and bedroom.

For larger parties these can be rented together with two B&B suites (Nelson’s suite and Blue suite), providing accommodation for up to 12 guests. The Victorian conservatory provides an enchanting dining space for a dinner party with up to 20 guests or just a scenic family dinner.

“The large  South Wing  apartment sleeps 4 (or 5) and contains an impressive spacious lounge with kingsize bed and  42″ flat screen TV, sitting area,  antique fireplace, antique flemish style chandeliers, exposed original oak beams & LED backlight, authentic windows with the original shutters and stunning views, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, bathroom and a separate twin bedroom.

The East Wing apartment provides accommodation for 2 guests.
It is situated in 16th century part of the house and  contains a bedroom with kingsize bed, original exposed oak beams, antique chandelier, seat area and flat screen TV. There is a luxurious bathroom in victorian style with a free standing bath near the window, antique chandelier and antique rocking chair and a dedicated kitchen.

Nelson’s Suite is a luxurious 250 square foot private room with a beautiful antique kingsize half tester bed. It’s situated on the first floor of Swafield Hall. Nelson’s Suite was always used as one of principal bedrooms and usually isn’t available for booking. The suite retains its original features like antique plaster, bay windows, servants bell mechanisms, servants door and C18th enfilade doors.
Nelson’s suite doesn’t have a kitchen, but in the Conservatory in summer or in the Dining room in winter for your breakfast you can find some milk, muesli, sliced bread, butter, jam, yogurt, some fruits, orange juice, tea and coffee. There is a kettle, Nespresso coffee machine, microwave, fridge, toaster, crookery/cutlery.

The Blue suite is situated in the private part of the house on the first floor and is usually not available for booking. It contains a bedroom with kingsize bed and an orthopedic seven-zone mattress, 42″ flat screen TV, a sitting area with two antique armchairs and an occasional table, and stunning views over the parterre. There is a large luxury en-suite bathroom with victorian style bath & shower.
The Blue suite doesn’t have a kitchen, but in the Conservatory in summer or in the Dining room in winter for your breakfast you can find some milk, muesli, sliced bread, butter, jam, yogurt, some fruits, orange juice, tea and coffee. There is a kettle, Nespresso coffee machine, microwave, fridge, toaster, crookery/cutlery.

To access your apartment you pass through the historical interiors of Swafield Hall including the impressive 17 metre long vaulted Ground Floor Hallway, with marble flooring and Georgian yellow walls, containing antique furniture and chandeliers. The apartments are reached via the 18th century main staircase, the first floor hallway and the second staircase. The secluded top floor location allows you to enjoy stunning views from all your windows.

Guests can enjoy the use of our extensive formal gardens including parterre, orchard, autumn garden, summer garden, secret garden, duck pond, croquet lawn and tennis court. Swafield Halls’ gardens are beautiful in every season. Guests’ bicycles can be securely stored overnight or bicycles can be rented locally.
